I'm a few weeks behind...

Ok, so I haven't blogged lately...it's not like many people are looking on here anyway...they have given up hope on me...so I am no pioneer woman! I'll get over it. Anyways, lets see, what has happened in the last few weeks? Lets see Ty had Legacy awards. He didn't want to go, threw a fit, I made him because I thought the teachers nominated him for an award...come to find out it wasn't that...he was nominated for Class Favorite. The students voted on it and he was VERY excited... he didn't win but he didn't care. He was just thrilled to be nominated. Here are a couple of pics from that night.



Then last weekend he competed in a Destination Imagination contest with a couple of kids at school. They will be going to the state competition in Houston on April 4th. Here is a pic of his team

So, that is enough about Tyler. I haven't really been doing much. Selling furniture on craigslist, moving my aunts furniture over. It is nice! Trying to save money to pay off debt. In this economy who knows if they will have a job or not so the less debt the better! The garage will be built either this week or next. I will be uber excited when it is finished! We have been shopping around for all the stuff to build the bathroom inside the garage. Trying to stay as cheap as we can... Hopefully it will all turn out well! I know that we are excited to see some progress down there. I'll of course post pics when it is completed!

Ok, can you really call dragging your best friends kids out to a podunk town to abuse them aka take their picture a photo shoot??? Well I did and I am sticking to it... she treated me to a great lunch at a small new cafe afterwards. YUMMYYY philly cheesesteak! Anywhoo... here are a couple pics that I took. I was just about ready to trash my camera as it has been acting goofy... but these are proof that it was probably just user error... I was much more on my game yesterday.

I've been busy

ok, so give me a break...I haven't posted in well, quite a long time! I'm going to catch you up to date with some pics though!
Let's see, what has happened after the cruise? oh, one weekend we had a party for my aunt Shirley and uncle Ed's birthday here's some pics of it and all of my mom's brothers and sisters that were there.



Next we had a surprise party for Steve's 50th birthday. Alot of his friends from Scouts came and alot of people stayed the night and the whole next day riding 4 wheelers. We had a great time. Lots of our friends that came had not seen our place or my aunt and uncles. It was a huge sleepover for the kids too...

Then a couple of days later they called and said they were going to start putting up the forms for our garage down at the land. So we had to make a trip up to get the drawings all straightened out. Here's when they were leveling and putting up the forms.

Then, the next day, they called and said forget concrete next week, we are pouring it tomorrow... so Steve took off and went down and supervised...hopefully in 2 weeks the building will be up and ready for us to start building the bathroom!



Then there is the planting of the garden...we (I use "we" loosely...I'm not much of a farmer...)have planted so far onions, red potatoes, white potatoes, garlic, and carrots.

Other than that, Steve has worked like a dog on the fence on the back of Doye's property getting it ready to fence in deer. I am really looking forward to seeing them!

These are pics I just downloaded to do an album this weekend for my cousin. (I know, I scrapbook for everyone else but me...I know...) Anyway, she did the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk back in the fall and I am soo proud of her! This is going to be the first picture you see in the album. Her team name was Putting our breast foot forward...


This is a pic of some of the walkers gathered up at a stop light. She is on the right and has on a blue shirt and shades..you can barely see her.

People lined the streets to cheer the walkers on. I went twice to cheer her on and it was inspiring! I can only imagine the whole walk experience!

Here she is in the center with my pooch. I'm proud of you girl! You did awesome.

I'm obsessing

This house has been on and off the market for a couple of years. Now it is in foreclosure. I am in love with it. Yes, it is out of my price range, yes, it only has one full bathroom, but I love it! This would be a perfect place for a retreat. It has a nice park behind it, it isn't far from Dallas, it has all the room that we need with only needing 2 bathrooms added and kitchen redo...I'm going to follow up with the city and see if it can even be zoned to do a retreat, and then just wait, and wait, and see if it goes down any... I would of course have to change my whole thinking from cabin to shabby chic or something...but hey, I can do that. Then we can build a smaller house for us to retire in....

I'd lose my butt if it weren't attached....

My dad used to tell me that ALL the freaking time...now I beleive it. Since we moved I haven't been able to find anything...not that it happened in the move, I just don't have "places" to put things where I normally would... so I wanted to report that I have been on a roll today. First, I found a $17,000 check that I accidently threw in my scrap bin when I finally cleaned off the table last night. (If only I would have waited one day...) next I was on a tear looking for 3 other things...my purple bag with my ipod in it, our passports, and my keycard for real estate. All were things that I could not for the life of me find... Well, I am happy to report I don't have anything missing now! I found my keycard..in my car...right where I used keep it...only I looked there a couple of times, and couldn't find it, the bag, in my closet, and the passports..on my pseudo desk...right where I normally put them... I swear...I'm retarded... (no comments on that please!)
