Ok, so I have failed in Photography

You would think spending all that money on "stuff" for the camera and the classes and workshops I have been going to I would have at least snapshots down... maybe not portraits, but simple snapshots. NOT THE CASE! I went to Ty's award program the other night. (proud mama smiling....as I never got to get on the stage for any special awards at Lakeview and he has already been up there twice...) anyway, here are the pics. The first one, the best one, is not even my son, I am just practicing.... the next shot is him walking on to the stage. It is a little blurry but hey, I can live with it. But then look at the next one, the one that counts, the one while he is getting his certificates.... WHAT THE HECK???? I didn't do anything different, I didn't change any settings or anything...

Party planned out....

I am officially party planned out! Between Ty's Eagle Ceremony in a couple of weeks, My uncles party this weekend and Tonyas wedding shower in May, I'm officially done planning....I got an email a few minutes ago from my friend Cheryl asking when I was going to plan another cruise..... Uh....NEVER with the feelings I have right now! I wake up at night with thoughts of scripts, balloons, punch bowls, decorations, color choices, invitations, pictures, AV equipment rental....I'm about to explode....I am going to need one BIG crown and coke when all of these events are done! Then I have NO party planning duties until I lose my mind and do it again.... I know Cary, breathe, breathe, I HAVE DONE THAT!!!!

Garage Sales...I can live without em....

THANK GOD the garage sale is over. No more digging out, pricing, or selling! We met some really nice people that like to buy other peoples junk... but a couple just wore me out! One guy comes up, (I'm not telling you his ethnic origin) and said how much for the whole table of clothes....there were shorts, and tons of shirts on there. We were selling everything for a $1 at that point. So I said $50...and he said $20...I said NO and was ready to go about my busines...we were so cheap on stuff I hate to barter... So his friend that was with him said, are ready for this??.... she said he wants to buy them all to send to Mexico... I just about flipped a lid.... it is one thing for us to give Americans bargains, but to give Mexico a bargain....what kind of bargain do I get when the cruise ship pulls up and I step off the boat? Are they giving me a shirt for 2/$.25???? I don't think so... so I told him sure, I've got some shirts for you...so I went through my many piles of clothes and found every free t-shirt that anyone in my family has ever gotten. Then I put them up there and charged 2/.25 I got $4 out of him and felt like that was one heck of a bargain seeing as we had gotten them free....
It was a full day of that crap on Saturday.... I had really gotten my fill of it by 9am... So needless to say by the time I made it to Walmart yesterday I didn't have my smiley face on to deal with foreign people and their 19 kids they drag along with them....

Drivers Edge

Here are some pics from the driving program that the kids went to this weekend. They had a blast and so did we watching them. This program is excellent and if you ever have the chance sign your kids up! They will be better, safer drivers because of it!

I submitted a couple of photos last night to my photo teacher for homework. This one made his top spot. The only suggestion he had was to crop it and here are the results.

I figured out I like taking pics of people much better than just landscapes!!! I took some pics on Saturday of a couple of kids.... well, young adults. Here are some of my favorites. I haven't started any editing yet, just a couple of black and whites. I'll have to find time to do that later!

Well, a week later the bathroom is complete! Steve started tearing out the baseboards and carpet last Friday night, this Friday he set the toilet and caulked and we are ready for business! Heres the before and after. I hope that you will agree that it looks better! Have a great weekend!
